Quantum Meditations; the First Six Weeks
Quantum Meditations could be called channeled poetry. They are impromptu inspirations from the muse or higher self to the poet. Each piece is a reflection of the author’s journey, tracks in the trail of a great awakening, rungs on a ladder, steps on a staircase leading to a greater becoming. Taken as a whole, they constitute a journal of love and evolution. Contains a coupon for the next book.
This book contains the first half of the novel, Song of Existence, with a discount coupon for the rest of the novel. Song of Existence is a novel about the divinity inherent, not just in the least among us, but within every atom of existence. And about our failure to acknowledge this. A hunchback and social outcast plants the seeds to awaken everyone on a broken world.
Under shattered skies, fifty-seven illegal immigrants are murdered outside of the town of Heater, Arizona, a dying town in a dying civilization. Their deaths in a ritual sacrifice awaken Sheriff Elliot Pierce, Father Albert Hayne, pregnant survivor Maria Diaz and all of the people of Heater to an evil as abhorrent as what is happening in the sky overhead. A lengthy excerpt from the first book of the trilogy, Murderer’s Sky.
Blind giants run amok, voracious Weendigo who eat everything in sight, the horned one riding on a dragon-cat, characters from Ojibwa mythology come to life, a dark shaman, the Corrupted Horde, and a blight on the World Under the Flesh and the World of the Flesh. What’s a young fiddler to do? Hither and Yon is continued in the book Fiddlesticks.
Drawn by a contrasting mixture of attraction and repulsion, will Andrew Erickson uncover what secrets lie hidden in the absolute darkness of the haunted Laughing Eagle Mine before they cost him his life, and that of his friends? Afraid of the Dark is one of the seven novellas and short stories contained in Complete Tales of da Yoopernatural.
And here is a short excerpt from Laughing, They Ran
“You are returning to the day when you met these creatures.” The guide prompted Daniel. “It is a cool day in early spring. You are driving down the dirt road.”
Daniel drove with Gillian beside him. It was a bright spring day, the leaves were coming out on the trees, and the world was full of potential. It was a pleasant drive down the dirt road, which they often used as a shortcut. Daniel and Gillian were engaged in an animated discussion about the artistic exploration of consciousness and creativity, and the nature of reality.
“Can you feel the infinite possibilities opening around us?” Gillian asked.
“It’s like taking a dive into a fractal pattern,” Daniel observed.
Their conversation was cut short as several critters stepped out from the woods onto the road ahead of them.
There were five animals. At first glance, Daniel thought they were woodchucks, but they were larger than woodchucks, and longer of limb. Wolverines maybe; but they were big for wolverines, and anyway there were no wolverines in this area.
The creatures resembled bruins somewhat, or possibly some unknown primate. Their fur was dark brown and they were walking on all four legs. They were maybe two and a half or three feet tall at the shoulder and tailless, maybe four feet long from nose to hind quarters. They stood on muscular legs about a foot and a half in length. They appeared to be strong and athletic. Their heads were rounded, on the end of a rather long but stout neck, with flat faces projecting very little snout. Neither did their ears stand out; and their eyes were set in front.
The five creatures hurried across the road, moving as a pack. One of them turned its head to look behind them as they proceeded. They were on the run. None of them paid the slightest mind to Daniel and Gillian, sitting in their car in the middle of the road.
The critters had a feral look about them, yet they had a clear air of intelligence. They moved with intent. There was something impish about them, yet they were noble creatures.
The crossing took no more than a second or two. Then they disappeared into a thicket on the left side of the road. The thicket was bordered by a subdivision.
“Did you see that?” Daniel asked.
“What were those?” Gillian returned.
“I’ve never seen anything like them.”
Daniel pulled up alongside the edge of the wetlands. He could see the passage they made through the brush. The animals were already gone, out of sight. Daniel couldn’t imagine them trespassing into the subdivision. Something told him they were gone, having found some hidden exit from the swamp.
“Follow them!” the guide ordered.
Daniel threw the car into park and leapt out to pursue the critters. He stepped through the brush and entered the thicket in the bowl-like depression of ground. Overhead the sky above the thicket formed a matching concavity. Daniel felt time and space distorting as he followed the creatures that resembled nothing so much of this earth as sloths.
His body became heavy. The mass of his physical form was increasing, as was the mass of the thicket around him. He felt like he was mired in tar. Even light found it hard to escape the increasing gravity. Everything was lost in darkness, from which no sound or light could escape. Finally he could move no more. Even the mind was overburdened by the weight of thought. He shut down, letting go of everything but the dimmest glimmer of awareness.
That faint gleam of awareness became the nucleus of his universe. It was the only light of existence, his sun and moon. Even time did not pass so much as it dwelt in one eternal moment. Daniel was beyond contemplating the passage of time. Even identity was reduced to the most fundamental unit. He was no longer Daniel; he simply was.
After an interminable period, five other gleaming lights flew past him, and he was swept along with them. For a moment he felt dizzy, nauseous even. Something popped and he found himself in a busy, infinite expanding universe of light.
